Community Guidelines

Section 1: General

1. Be respectful. Hate speech, racism, toxicity, and politics are not tolerated. Also refrain from speaking about alcohol/ drugs/ abuse/ personal matters and/ or other potentially dangerous topics

 

2. Pornography and NSFW is strictly prohibited. You will be instantly banned. We have Minors in this community. As such all content should be PG-13 in all public areas. Mature conversations should be kept in the adult area of our discord.

 

3. Do not spam memes, ASCII, or anything else.

 

4. Any form of impersonation of staff/ admins/ mods is forbidden.

 This includes but is not limited to Names, nicknames, profile pictures, and speech as well as minimodding. Violations are subject to punitive action.

5. Stick to readable and appropriate names. They will be changed otherwise.

This also means keeping them clean and unique. If your name is similar to any moderators or staff, you will be told to change it. Failure to comply will result in your removal. {discord}- All names must be typeable on a standard English QWERTY keyboard, no symbols or non unicode characters.

6. We do not promote or encourage any form of cheating or hacking.

​

7. If an admin asks you to do something, you should do it immediately.

This applies to the community as a whole.

8. We reserve the right to enforce unstated rules.

This means that we can enforce a rule even if it is not listed here.

​

9. Rules are subject to change with or without warning.

This means that we as the staff reserve the right to alter or add rules at any given time with or without warning. It is the job of you as the user to keep up with any said changes

​

10.  Advertising is prohibited in all of our platforms- Website, Discord, and anywhere else including in direct messages- without express written permission from the Phoenix Gaming Staff

11. Any behavior that is found to be unacceptable will be punished. The consequences will be equal to the severity of your transgression(s)

​

12. This is an international community. We abide by all foreign internet laws as well as our own.

​

13. Every disciplinary action taken in the community is based on the situation for which it is required. There is not a set system.

​

14. Do not ask for or share PII (Personally Identifying Information) of any kind in public areas. You will be banned. This includes but is not limited to: IP, address, phone numbers, age, etc.

Section 2: Discord

​

1. Be mindful of channels and their uses!

Every channel on our discord has a specific purpose. Only use them as intended.

​

2. Do not ping unless it is absolutely necessary.

​

3.  If you need help with anything within the community, you can get assistance via our website or discord. Discord is the preferred method. Go to the support channel and open a ticket to get started. Alternately, if using our website you can message us via the chat. We cannot guarantee a quick response with this.

​

4. The Discord server is English only except when used in moderation. Failure to follow this rule may result in your removal from the server. It is not guaranteed that we, the staff, or any of the members will be able to understand/ translate/ communicate in your primary/ given language. All staff members speak English.

5. If you or a member of a partnered/ affiliated/ endorsed server violates the rules of discord or this community, then said member will be subject to disciplinary action(s) as outlined by these guidelines; whether it originated in Phoenix Gaming or the partnered organization. (See S1.12, S1.13)

​

6. Automatic moderation is set up via discord bots. We will not undo any actions made by the automod unless we deem it to be an unnecessary action.

Section 3: Positional Liability

In a moderation position, you have certain permissions that regular members do not. In these positions you are expected to uphold the rules of the community as outlined in the community guidelines- https://www.phoenixgaming.info/guidelines .

- You must enforce all rules of the community, whether posted or unwritten. All rules are subject to change with or without warning. it is your responsibility to make sure you keep up to date with any such changes and are able to enforce them.

--The age requirement must be enforced at all times due to legal matters. 

--In addition, to remain in a position, you must be completely unbiased in any argument, conflict, or decisions you make.

--If any unfair bias is shown in the community whatsoever, you are subject to removal from the position.
Positions are not guaranteed nor are they permanent. If any Moderators are found to have unacceptable behavior, you will be removed from your position.

--Position Holders must be active in the community. Failure to comply with these rules will result in removal from the position.

We are an international community and therefore we abide by all domestic and foreign internet laws. No person(s) under the age of 13 is allowed in the community. 

--Person(s) in positions are required to have an account on our website.

--Person(s) in positions are required to be professional in all situations and respect the chain of command; when speaking to a superior, address them as Sir or Ma'am as appropriate.

Section 4: YouTube Agreement

1.      Phoenix Gaming often records events and other videos to be posted on our YouTube channel. By continuing to use our Discord, website, or other services including but not limited to our social medias, you agree and give consent to us, Phoenix Gaming, to use your voice, video, and/ or other affects of your person to post on our YouTube and social medias. You also agree and consent to disclose to us your name, age, E-Mail, and/ or other personally identifying information upon request for crediting or other reasons. Phoenix Gaming is not responsible for anyone you choose to disclose any personal information to should you choose to disclose your information to other people, whether they are members or not. Likewise, we will not be responsible for any leaks or misuse of your personal information due to people you choose to disclose said information to.

 

YouTube Guidelines

2.      Our YouTube and social medias are not necessarily aimed towards adults. That said, we have to restrict some kinds of content that might be too mature for our younger audiences. This includes but is not limited to: explicit videos, images, or language. Our channel and community as a whole is designed to be PG-13.

        We reserve the right to prohibit you from attending events and/or appearing on our YouTube and social medias for any reason.

        Failure to follow the guidelines will result in your temporary or permanent ban from attending events and/or appearing on our social medias.

        During gaming events you may be asked to perform a specific action in gameplay for the event. Failure to execute the action requested of you may result in your temporary or permanent ban from participating in events.

Section 5: DMCA / Copyright

Digital Millennium Copyright Act: Is part of US Copyright Law. It addresses penalties for copyright infringement found on the Internet. This act protects content creators by "establishing procedures for proper notification" to OSPs when copyright infringement is identified online. Online Copyright Infringement Liability Limitation Act (OCILLA), Title II is part of the DMCA as Section 512 to the Copyright Act and creates a conditional safe harbour to liability for copyright infringement by online service providers. These procedures allow proper DMCA Takedown Notices to be filed by the owner of this website or DMCA.com, as their designated agent, to an OSP in case infringed material has been detected on their servers.

 

1. All DMCA / Copyright Violations will be pursued to the fullest extent of the law.

2. Users found in a violation of DMCA / Copyright shall be immediately banned.

​

3. Users banned for a DMCA / Copyright violation will be denied any and all appeals.

Section 6: Legal

All members/ Users of Phoenix Gaming and any of its services/ platforms are bound to United States Law.

Phoenix Gaming is based in the United States and holds its users/members to United States law. This means that we as a company will abide by the US Code for legal matters.

     By participating in our events and/ or using our Website, Discord server, or any other platforms,  you agree to abide by the rules and guidelines of this community as well as Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

​

     Person(s) under the age of 13 are not permitted to join Phoenix Gaming.

​

     Whilst being a member or user of the community or its platforms,  harassment, bullying, threats, doxxing, etc will not be tolerated. These actions are illegal under 18 U.S. Code § 2261A and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

​

     Sexualization of a minor in any way shape or form is illegal under 18 U.S. Code § 2251 and will be reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.

     Phoenix Gaming will not be responsible if you fail to read these rules and guidelines.
